Volunteering With Visit Sacramento
Visit Sacramento’s volunteer program brings you right into the heart of the action at some of our region’s most well-known special events. Throughout the year, volunteer opportunities are available for individuals and groups. Volunteers assist with several large-scale events including the USATF Junior Olympic Championships in July, the Farm-to-Fork Festival, Tower Bridge Dinner, and Legends of Wine in September, IRONMAN in October, as well as other exciting activities throughout the year. We can’t wait to see you at our next event!
Current volunteer opportunities are listed below. Please be advised that, prior to signing up for an event, you'll be required to register (new volunteers) or sign in (past volunteers). You can check your volunteer status by clicking the "Check Status" button in the upper right corner.
Not seeing the event you are looking for? Volunteer roles are posted throughout the year as needs arise. Volunteer registration for each event will open once the event volunteer schedule is complete. Thank you for your patience.
USATF Junior Olympic Championships: Volunteer Now!
Join us as we welcome the 2022 USATF Junior Olympic Championships to Sacramento this July. Come support youth athletes from across the nation as they compete in events such as the hammer throw, shot put, long jump, pole vault, hurdles and more. This is your chance to see young Olympic hopefuls in action! Who knows - you may even see the next USA gold medalist in the 1500m on the track!
Volunteers help in all areas of the event and receive great USATF Junior Olympic Championships swag. You can support athletes in one of the many track and field events, in the information booth, as part of the medical team (no medical experience necessary) or in gear check. There are countless roles to be filled.
Individual Volunteers: If you are an individual looking to support this event, keep in mind, this is a multi-day event. This gives you a great opportunity to volunteer for different events each day.
Group Volunteers: If you are part of a group or team and would like to volunteer with us, please email our Volunteer Coordinator - Jenny Matchell - at jmatchell@visitsacramento.com. She is happy to find the perfect volunteer spot for your group.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before signing up to volunteer, please be advised that a few volunteer roles are designated as Safe Sport roles. If you see "safe sport" listed next to a volunteer role, you will need to complete a brief Safe Sport registration and training process. This is to ensure the safety of all minor athletes.
Farm-to-Fork Festival, Tower Bridge Dinner, and Legends of Wine
Registration will open in July.
